Terms and Conditions
Detailed information related to Sunbelt FCU’s Text Messaging Alert service — messages are sent based on your interactions with our platforms and your acceptance of their terms of service.
Terms & Conditions — Text Messaging Alerts
In these Text (SMS) Messaging Terms and Conditions (“Text Messaging Terms”), the terms “you,” “your,” and “yours” refer to any individual accessing online banking services. The terms “we,” “us,” “our,” and “Credit Union” refer to Sunbelt Federal Credit Union.
Our text messaging service is intended to provide actionable, informational, transactional, or marketing content related to our products and services. You may receive certain messages automatically as part of a transaction or in connection with specific services you access — such as opening an account online, applying for a loan, or receiving alerts for fraud and risk mitigation related to your debit or credit card. These messages are sent based on your interactions with our platforms and your acceptance of their terms of service.
You may opt out of receiving these messages at any time using the methods outlined below under “Program Description.” Marketing messages will not be sent unless you have provided separate, explicit consent to receive them, as further explained below.
Program Description
Sunbelt FCU offers several text messaging programs, each utilizing a unique short code number or dedicated phone number tailored to specific purposes. These programs are designed to enhance your experience, support your account management needs, and assist with fraud risk mitigation. Each program requires separate consent to enroll, with the opt-in process outlined below.
- Sunbelt FCU Text Alerts — Used to communicate general notices, reminders such as branch or holiday closure and general account information. You can also text us general inquires during our texting hours of operations. You can opt-in by texting “START” to the short code listed. You can opt-out of this type of text alert by simply replying “STOP” at any time when texting this number. To request more information, text “HELP”. Message frequency varies and is dependent on text alert type.
Message Frequency
The number of text messages you receive will vary depending on which Credit Union text messaging programs you sign up to receive and the frequency of the messages sent by those programs.
If you have opted to receive marketing messages, we will not send you more than ten (10) text messages containing special offers or promoting Credit Union products per month.
Fees
We do not charge any fees for your access to or use of our text messaging services. However, you are responsible for all charges that may apply, including but not limited to fees associated with your account(s) and any message or data rates imposed by your mobile service provider. Standard message and data rates may apply for each text message sent or received. Please consult your mobile service provider for details about your pricing plan.
Your Mobile Phone Number
You agree to provide a valid mobile phone number to use this service, allowing us to send you information related to your applicable account(s). By providing your mobile number, you represent that you are either the owner or the customary user of the number you have designated as your cell phone on your Credit Union membership.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from any and all claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your provision of a phone number that is not your own or from your violation of any applicable federal, state, or local laws, regulations, or ordinances. This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of this Agreement.
