In these Text (SMS) Mes­sag­ing Terms and Con­di­tions (“Text Mes­sag­ing Terms”), the terms you,” your,” and yours” refer to any indi­vid­ual access­ing online bank­ing ser­vices. The terms we,” us,” our,” and Cred­it Union” refer to Sun­belt Fed­er­al Cred­it Union.

Our text mes­sag­ing ser­vice is intend­ed to pro­vide action­able, infor­ma­tion­al, trans­ac­tion­al, or mar­ket­ing con­tent relat­ed to our prod­ucts and ser­vices. You may receive cer­tain mes­sages auto­mat­i­cal­ly as part of a trans­ac­tion or in con­nec­tion with spe­cif­ic ser­vices you access — such as open­ing an account online, apply­ing for a loan, or receiv­ing alerts for fraud and risk mit­i­ga­tion relat­ed to your deb­it or cred­it card. These mes­sages are sent based on your inter­ac­tions with our plat­forms and your accep­tance of their terms of service.

You may opt out of receiv­ing these mes­sages at any time using the meth­ods out­lined below under Pro­gram Descrip­tion.” Mar­ket­ing mes­sages will not be sent unless you have pro­vid­ed sep­a­rate, explic­it con­sent to receive them, as fur­ther explained below.

Program Description

Sun­belt FCU offers sev­er­al text mes­sag­ing pro­grams, each uti­liz­ing a unique short code num­ber or ded­i­cat­ed phone num­ber tai­lored to spe­cif­ic pur­pos­es. These pro­grams are designed to enhance your expe­ri­ence, sup­port your account man­age­ment needs, and assist with fraud risk mit­i­ga­tion. Each pro­gram requires sep­a­rate con­sent to enroll, with the opt-in process out­lined below.

  • Sun­belt FCU Text Alerts — Used to com­mu­ni­cate gen­er­al notices, reminders such as branch or hol­i­day clo­sure and gen­er­al account infor­ma­tion. You can also text us gen­er­al inquires dur­ing our tex­ting hours of oper­a­tions. You can opt-in by tex­ting START” to the short code list­ed. You can opt-out of this type of text alert by sim­ply reply­ing STOP” at any time when tex­ting this num­ber. To request more infor­ma­tion, text HELP”. Mes­sage fre­quen­cy varies and is depen­dent on text alert type.

Message Frequency

The num­ber of text mes­sages you receive will vary depend­ing on which Cred­it Union text mes­sag­ing pro­grams you sign up to receive and the fre­quen­cy of the mes­sages sent by those programs.

If you have opt­ed to receive mar­ket­ing mes­sages, we will not send you more than ten (10) text mes­sages con­tain­ing spe­cial offers or pro­mot­ing Cred­it Union prod­ucts per month.

Fees

We do not charge any fees for your access to or use of our text mes­sag­ing ser­vices. How­ev­er, you are respon­si­ble for all charges that may apply, includ­ing but not lim­it­ed to fees asso­ci­at­ed with your account(s) and any mes­sage or data rates imposed by your mobile ser­vice provider. Stan­dard mes­sage and data rates may apply for each text mes­sage sent or received. Please con­sult your mobile ser­vice provider for details about your pric­ing plan.

Your Mobile Phone Number

You agree to pro­vide a valid mobile phone num­ber to use this ser­vice, allow­ing us to send you infor­ma­tion relat­ed to your applic­a­ble account(s). We reserve the right, at our sole dis­cre­tion, to deter­mine what infor­ma­tion is made avail­able through this ser­vice. By pro­vid­ing your mobile num­ber, you rep­re­sent that you are either the own­er or the cus­tom­ary user of the num­ber you have des­ig­nat­ed as your cell phone on your Cred­it Union membership.

You agree to indem­ni­fy, defend, and hold us harm­less from any and all claims, loss­es, lia­bil­i­ties, costs, and expens­es (includ­ing rea­son­able attor­neys’ fees) aris­ing from your pro­vi­sion of a phone num­ber that is not your own or from your vio­la­tion of any applic­a­ble fed­er­al, state, or local laws, reg­u­la­tions, or ordi­nances. This indem­ni­fi­ca­tion oblig­a­tion will sur­vive the ter­mi­na­tion of this Agreement.

Delivery to a Mobile Network is Not Guaranteed

It is your respon­si­bil­i­ty to ensure that your mobile car­ri­er sup­ports text mes­sag­ing and that your mobile device is capa­ble of receiv­ing text mes­sages. Receipt of our mes­sages is sub­ject to the terms and con­di­tions of your agree­ment with your mobile carrier.

The deliv­ery and receipt of account-relat­ed infor­ma­tion via the Cred­it Union’s text mes­sag­ing pro­gram may be delayed or impact­ed by fac­tors beyond our con­trol, includ­ing issues relat­ed to your mobile car­ri­er or oth­er third par­ties. We are not liable for any loss­es or dam­ages result­ing, in whole or in part, from your actions or omis­sions that lead to the dis­clo­sure of account infor­ma­tion to unau­tho­rized third par­ties. Addi­tion­al­ly, par­tic­i­pa­tion in our text mes­sag­ing ser­vice does not cre­ate any new or addi­tion­al lia­bil­i­ty beyond what is already out­lined in your exist­ing account agreements.

The Cred­it Union is not respon­si­ble for the use of text mes­sag­ing while dri­ving. It is your respon­si­bil­i­ty to dri­ve safe­ly and refrain from using this ser­vice while oper­at­ing a vehicle.

Supported Carriers

Sup­port­ed car­ri­ers may occa­sion­al­ly change. We can deliv­er mes­sages to the fol­low­ing mobile phone carriers:

This list is not exhaus­tive, is not updat­ed reg­u­lar­ly, and is sub­ject to change with­out notice. The Cred­it Union makes no war­ranties regard­ing the avail­abil­i­ty, time­li­ness, or reli­a­bil­i­ty of its text mes­sag­ing ser­vices and assumes no lia­bil­i­ty for any delays or fail­ures in the deliv­ery or receipt of text mes­sages. Nei­ther the Cred­it Union nor any sup­port­ed mobile car­ri­ers shall be held respon­si­ble for delayed or unde­liv­ered messages.

Eligibility

To receive Cred­it Union text mes­sag­ing ser­vices, you must be a res­i­dent of the Unit­ed States and 18 years of age or old­er. We reserve the right to require you to prove that you are at least 18 years of age. We do not intend to or know­ing­ly col­lect infor­ma­tion from indi­vid­u­als under thir­teen (13) years of age.

Changes to Terms & Conditions

The Cred­it Union may revise, mod­i­fy, or amend these Text Mes­sag­ing Terms and Con­di­tions at any time, with­out pri­or notice, unless oth­er­wise required by law. Any such changes will become effec­tive upon being post­ed to our web­site. You agree to review these Terms and Con­di­tions peri­od­i­cal­ly to stay informed of any updates. Your con­tin­ued use of the Cred­it Union’s text mes­sag­ing ser­vices after any changes are post­ed con­sti­tutes your accep­tance of the revised Terms and Conditions.

Text Messaging Termination

We may sus­pend or ter­mi­nate your access to Cred­it Union text mes­sages if we deter­mine that you have vio­lat­ed these Text Mes­sag­ing Terms and Con­di­tions or the Cred­it Union’s Mem­ber­ship Appli­ca­tion and Account Agree­ment. Your access may also be ter­mi­nat­ed if your mobile phone ser­vice is dis­con­tin­ued or interrupted.

Addi­tion­al­ly, we reserve the right to mod­i­fy, restrict, sus­pend, or dis­con­tin­ue any or all Cred­it Union text mes­sag­ing ser­vices — whether free or sub­scrip­tion-based — at any time, with or with­out notice.

Security

This ser­vice may not be encrypt­ed and, at times, may include per­son­al or con­fi­den­tial infor­ma­tion about you, such as account activ­i­ty or sta­tus. You agree to safe­guard the device that receives mes­sages from this ser­vice and to pre­vent unau­tho­rized indi­vid­u­als from access­ing any infor­ma­tion we send. If you receive a text mes­sage claim­ing to be from the Cred­it Union that asks you to reply with sen­si­tive or non-pub­lic per­son­al infor­ma­tion, do not respond. Instead, con­tact us imme­di­ate­ly at (601) 649‑7181.

We may occa­sion­al­ly send text mes­sages con­tain­ing secure HTTPS links to Sun­belt FCU web­sites for the pur­pose of exchang­ing sen­si­tive or non-pub­lic infor­ma­tion. These links will open in your phone’s mobile brows­er and dis­play a lock” icon to indi­cate a secure, encrypt­ed connection.

Cred­it Union text mes­sag­ing is pro­vid­ed for your con­ve­nience and does not replace your offi­cial month­ly account statement(s), which remain the for­mal record of your account(s).

Disputes

You agree that any action, dis­pute, claim, or con­tro­ver­sy of any kind aris­ing between you and the Cred­it Union in con­nec­tion with or relat­ed to the Cred­it Union’s text mes­sag­ing ser­vice shall be gov­erned by and resolved in accor­dance with the terms and con­di­tions set forth in the Cred­it Union’s Account Agree­ment or Busi­ness Ser­vices Account Agree­ment, as applicable.

Privacy

The Cred­it Union val­ues your pri­va­cy. Please refer to our Pri­va­cy Pol­i­cy to learn more.
